Spring wheat proceeds through a sequence of easily recognizable growth stages that are described by several staging schemes, the most comprehensive being the Zadoks system.. Wheat’s growth cycle has the following divisions: Germination, seedling establishment and leaf production, tillering and head differentiation, stem and head growth.. The next stage of a wheat’s life cycle is harvest, you can read all about that in this post! So there you go, the growth stages our wheat plants go through during their time on our farm!
