A fleur-de-lis superimposed over a globe and surrounded by the inscription of the Scouts motto “BE PREPARED” and the dates “1907” and “2007”. The reverse was designed by Kerry Jones.. The Centenary of the Scout Movement accordingly falls in 2007. Its theme is ‘One World, One Promise’ a sentiment which echoes the resolution of the thousands of Scouts present at the first World Scout Jamboree in 1920. The reverse of the 50p Fifty Pence Coin, depicts the familiar Fleur De Lys of the Scouts with their motto Be Prepared.
